Delivery Shifts is a fictional comic loosely based on my time as a pizza delivery driver in 2010-2011. The story and characters are made up, but I took a lot of inspiration from shifts I'd worked, people I'd met, and the town I grew up in.
The comic is part of a research project I am undertaking as a lecturer at the NSoA where I will examine working-class identity through lived experience and visual storytelling. Through a series of workshops in local communities, I hope to encourage comic making and sequential art as a cathartic means of self-expression.
